Grooming Release Form & Terms & Conditions
Your pet is very important to us; Clips Dog Grooming would like to assure you that every effort will be made to make your pet’s grooming experience as safe & pleasant as possible.
Safety comes first for everyone, people as well as their pets, during the grooming process.
Health or medical problems
Occasionally, grooming can expose hidden medical problems or aggravate a current one. This can occur during or after grooming. All medical expenses for any veterinary care will be covered by the animal's owner upon agreeing to all terms & conditions.
Should staff at Clips Dog Grooming discover fleas during any stage of the dogs groom there will be a penalty fee of £70.00 per dog, Clips Dog Grooming WILL & has the right to refuse grooming services and will cease grooming your dog/s the client will be charged £70.00 fee
(and costs of the groom for what was done up to that point).
If your dog/s is found to have a tick or ticks you will be informed via telephone. If you wish for us to remove
the parasite there will be an additional £15 per tick or ticks to be removed.
Although accidents are very rare, there is a risk when dealing with pets. Grooming equipment is sharp, and although we use extreme caution and care in all situations, possible problems could occur including, cuts, nicks, scratches, quickening of nails, etc. In most cases this can happen when a pet is wiggling or moving around. Your pet's safety and comfort is our number one priority. In the event an accident does occur, you will be notified of the accident if Clips Dog Grooming feels is serious. In a serious accident Clips will seek immediate veterinary care for your animal. This release gives Clip Dog Grooming full authorization to seek medical treatment from the nearest veterinary in the case of any medical emergencies while in the care of Clips Dog Grooming. All veterinary costs and expenses will be the responsibility of the pet owner.
Any new puppy clients being serviced in our salon must be up to date with all puppy vaccinations.
Clips Dog Grooming has the right to refuse any services at any time. In the event that you pets is too stressed or becomes dangerous to groom, Clips Dog Grooming has the right to refuse grooming services, stop grooming services, or cancel grooming services before, during, or after grooming and the client will be charged a grooming fee (for what was done up to that point).
Muzzling does not harm your pet and protects both pet and groomer. In some cases, muzzling may even calm a stressed pet, allowing the grooming process to continue, if a pet still acts in a way that is dangerous Clips Dog Grooming has the right to stop grooming services at any time and a service fee will be collected. We do not muzzle unless your pet gives us a reason to. Other methods are used to calm your pet, muzzling is a last resort.
Interruptions during grooming services
For the safety of the pet being groomed as well as the professional pet groomer, it is asked that you do not interrupt the groomer during grooming. If you arrive and you’ve not been messaged to say your dog is ready for collection please await a message please do not knock on the door until you’ve been messaged/called.
Pets with severely matted coats require extra attention. Matts in a pet's coat grow tight, and can ultimately damage and tear the pet's skin, which provides a breeding ground for parasite infestations. Clips Dog Grooming will not cause serious or undue stress to your pet by de-matting. Mats can be very difficult to remove, they may require the pet to be shaved. Removing a heavily matted coat can cause nicks, cuts or abrasions due to skin growths trapped in the matts. Heavy matting can also trap moisture and urine near the pet's skin allowing mold, fungus or bacteria to grow, producing skin irritations that existed prior to the grooming process. After - effects of mat removal procedures can include itchiness, skin redness, self-inflicted irritations or abbrisions and failure of the hair to grow (bald patches). In some cases, pets may also exhibit brief behavioral changes. Prevention is the best defense by scheduling regular grooming appointments, every 4-6 weeks. If your pet needs to be shaved to remove matting, by signing below, you acknowledge that you agree to this procedure, and any risk. There will be an additional charge for this process.
Cancellations & No Shows
As appointments are booked in timed slots cancellations can leave an empty slot in the schedule, that could have otherwise been used by another customer. If the booking is cancelled within 48 hours of the appointment 50% of the groom will be due. If cancelled within a 24 hour notice period of the appointment you will be changed in full. Should you not show to your appointment you will be liable for the full cost of the groom.
Personal Data - GDPR
Clips Dog Grooming reserves the right to hold your personal information/data & your dogs information & data until instructed by yourself writing via email. If you have not returned to us within 6 months, Clips Dog Grooming will destroy your information & data in the relevant & secure manner. All information & data held by Clips Dog Grooming will NOT be sold onwards or to a third party and is kept in a secure locked cabinet or stored on a secure and passworded computer.
Your satisfaction is important to us. If you are unhappy for any reason and would like something adjusted we will be happy to make any adjustments when you pick-up your pet from his or her appointment. Please know once you take your pet home from the appointment or once you’ve left the salon, any return visit will be treated as a new appointment and the client will be charged the relevant grooming fee.
This release form authorises Clips Dog Grooming to take photos of your pets and use them for our records, social media & company website pages.
All photographs will be taken at and on the premises of Clips Dog Grooming.
You understand the contents of our terms & conditions contract and you confirm that you are the rightful legal owner or entitled to make the above decisions for the animal in question cat(s) or dog(s) or right to make the above decisions for which services are being rendered.
I understand that pricing is subject to change without notice, pricing will always be confirmed prior to starting any grooming process.
